Amberg Chefs Club

celebrates Laurentius Day

On Saturday, August 14th, 2021, the Amberg Chefs Club celebrated its 7th Laurentius Day and its 45th anniversary.

The Bavarian Association of Chefs would like to warmly congratulate them.

As expected, Michaela Fröhler, first chairwoman of the Amberg cooks, invited them to an excellently organized Laurentius fair. And so many partners from neighboring branch associations and the sponsor association "Nürnberger Köche" came to celebrate this day with the people of Amberg. The Amberg members had really worked hard to revive their 45th anniversary as well. With the participation of the Mayor of Amberg, Mr. Michael Cerny, we went from the fountain on Maxplatz to the Basilica of St. Martin with a drum roll. The city pastor, Herr Helm, had prepared a suitable sermon for the holy mass especially for the cooks. With beautiful church leathers and vocal insoles, the mass was a feast for the ears. We were all not just listeners to how one can celebrate such a mass. We would like to thank all those involved for this. Afterwards an invitation was made to the Stadl am Haidweiher to celebrate the anniversary extensively. Some honors in the association for long membership could not be missing, of course, so honorary chairman Walter Fröhler also had the pleasure of receiving the discovery from his daughter. And so the party continued into the evening and a successful day ended comfortably.

At the request of the deceased, we could only publish the news after the obituary was reported in the local and public press. Rest in peace dear Kurt. Thank you for the many years of loyalty to your cooking association and the Association of Chefs Germany.

TDespite the absence of the chairman due to illness, an ordinary election was held.

Roland Kestel and Uli Großmann from the board of directors chaired the conference and duly conducted a ballot for the new board of directors. The acceptance of the election result has already been confirmed by everyone.

We would like to thank the organizing association "Club der Köche Donau-Ries eV" for the great support.

The management team of the Bavarian Association of Cooks in Wemding was confirmed again

The spring meeting of the Bavarian Association of Cooks

took place on 24/25. July 2021 in Wemding with new elections.


Today the VKD presented the candidates for a new presidium in its newsletter to all members. Dear colleagues,

the regional association of cooks in Bavaria is in mourning.

We were deeply saddened to receive the news of the death of our honorary member Karl Wuzer.

A voice that was familiar to us, is silent.
A person who was there for us is no longer.

His time on earth came to an end, his light of life was extinguished.
We were all allowed to accompany him on his way, each one part.
But now it's time to say goodbye, Karl you've gone and you're leaving us here.
The Lord will now lead you further on your way

There is a time for everything in life, a time of joy, silence, sadness and a time of grateful remembrance.

Thank you for your friendship. We will miss you.
